PJ leads the Mr Insurance team, with over 20 years of continued service. PJ enjoys providing families and business’s professional advice for their life insurance needs. He does this in a personal and friendly way by educating and empowering clients to ultimately make an informed decision for their own financial future. From the advice provided to date, he has also been able to ensure his clients have received over $30 million dollars in claims, demonstrating the value of his advice, knowledge and personal claims service.
Two of PJ’s proudest career moments were when he was recognised as one of the top three financial advisers in Australia by the Association of Financial Advisers (Adviser of the year award) for 2014 and 2015.
PJ recently completed his tenure as the MDRT (Million dollar round table) QLD State Chair which ended in 2016 and has taken on a board position with the charity Parkinson’s QLD. PJ is also a joint owner and authorised representative for Advice for Life, the financial planning arm for Mr Insurance clients, that ensures we offer advice to assist clients with their financial goals and not just protect them.
Outside of helping clients, PJ is married to Meaghan and has two young daughters Sienna and Matisse. PJ is a passionate fisherman that according to his stories even catches a few or if given a few spare hours of leave by Meaghan, loves exploring on his mid-life crisis Harley Davidson.

Through her 23 years of experience working with clients and advisers, Joy ensures that we get our clients through the advice and underwriting process as efficiently as we can, to ensure businesses and families protection is in place as soon as possible. She enjoys Mr Insurance's common goal to get the best client outcomes possible.
Outside of work, Joy loves family time, tinkering around her house and garden, and starting her days with her morning walks with Polly, her border collie, followed by a great coffee to fuel the day ahead.
Jenny Byrne (Shirl)

Jenny brings the glamour to the office with her collection of sparkles and bling. She keeps the office stocked and all of the team well caffeinated, fed and supported. She makes sure the office is welcoming for all of our clients and puts together our client gift baskets.
Jenny loves being with family, friends and especially her grandchildren. She brings more bubbles to a party than a bottle of champagne and is loved by everyone.
Meaghan Byrne
Client Service Officer
Meaghan, who is PJ’s better half, brings many years of corporate writing experience to Mr Insurance. Working at the Department of Defence in Canberra afforded her the position to develop, instruct and deliver Top Secret classified records management policy guidelines to the Tri-Services to bases situated all across Australia and carried out training to Attaché staff to overseas Embassies.
After moving, (for love) to Brisbane, Meaghan headed up the State Operations Manager position at ING. Here she was accountable for managing a large team of support and administrative staff as well as directly assisting the needs of the QLD Regional Manager.
Her exposure at ING has seamlessly translated itself to the team at Mr Insurance. Here her insight, experience and adaptability has meant she plays a broad role helping clients and the team have great outcomes. You will no doubt connect with Meaghan’s wicked sense of humour in our monthly communications and social media posts.
Bella
Human Whisperer Executive
Bella brings absolutely no financial or insurance experience whatsoever to Mr Insurance. But what she does bring is an overabundance of enthusiasm and the ability to make people fall in love with her. It’s virtually guaranteed you’ll leave the office feeling so much happier after cuddles with Bella. She’s our cheapest employee to keep satisfied but priceless in the unconditional love she provides to everyone who comes into the Mr Insurance office.
